Adventure psychology is a powerful and intrinsically human adaptation. Nurtured by positive risk taking, it is integral to growth and learning. A robust appreciation of Adventure Psychology can help one to endure setbacks and achieve success while building resiliency in the face of stress, vulnerability, failure, and fear.

Learning Objectives:

1. Gain a robust understanding of concepts such as the Comfort Zone Model, Growth Mindset, Flow, Locus of Control, Paradox of Risk, and the importance of Choice.
2. Help participants to endure setbacks and achieve success, while building resiliency in the face of stress, vulnerability, failure, and fear.
3. Be able to facilitate a conversation about exploring risk, fostering growth, and building confidence in participants, so that educators leave with a deep understanding of Self Efficacy – and how one nurtures it and makes it grow.
