Tuckman’s Group Dynamics model posits 4 stages for group processing: Forming, Storming, Norming, and Performing. Yet, groups are made of individuals! What is there process like? This session will present a theoretical framework for monitoring both how the individual AND the group is developing throughout the facilitation process through the following stages: Introduction, Conflict, Balance, Creation, and Identity.

Learning Objectives:

Attendees will learn a metacognitive strategy for assessing groups and individuals throughout a facilitation process and then participate in a fishbowl activity to practice its implementation.
