Rescue competency is a critical skill for all facilitators that’s often under practiced. This hands-on session allows attendees to practice a variety of rescue techniques. It will look at principals for all rescues, then provide technical instruction in both traditional and alternative rescue systems for static and dynamic challenge courses. Specific examples from NC State’s course will be shared.

Learning Objectives:

(1) Plan, perform and evaluate a variety of static, dynamic, and improvised rescues.

(2) Assist with preparing experienced operators for the Level 2 Practitioner Certification Exam.

(3) Reflect and assess their current courses’ risk management and rescue protocols to emphasis efficiency and safety.
