Professionals in the outdoor industry, we are in positions of leadership. Whether you’re a builder, owner, operator, trainer, guide, or facilitator, you have a unique allyship* opportunity.

*Defined: “an active, consistent, and arduous practice of unlearning and re-evaluating, in which a person holding systemic power seeks to end oppressions in solidarity with a group of people who are systemically disempowered.”

Learning Objectives

1. This session will focus on what allyship is (and isn’t) in words & practice.
2. Attendees will be given tools and resources to use in their ‘toolbox.’
3. Thoughts, ideas, opinions, and active methods to ‘do better’ in various professional roles will be shared.
