Did You Go Over the Edge?

At the 36th ACCT International Annual Conference, ACCT International partnered with Over the Edge to host a one-of-a-kind fundraising event where participants rappelled 14 stories off the roof of our host hotel onto the pool deck. This unforgettable experience invited attendees and the local community the chance to step out of their comfort zones while making a meaningful impact.

Over the Edge (OTE) is the only global industrial rappelling event company, helping non-profits host safe, profitable, and unique charity events. With over 1,500 events and 115,000 participants to date, they’ve helped raise an incredible $150 million for various causes.

This event was inclusive for all thrill-seekers, from first-time rappellers to individuals with diverse abilities. Whether attendees scaled new heights or cheered from the ground, there was a role for everyone in making this event a success!

2026 Event Schedule

2:00pm: Check-in and registration began for the first group of rappelers.
3:00pm – 8:00pm: Rappelling operations from the hotel roof to the Rooftop Pool & Terrace Deck.

Ways to Go Over the Edge

This was a can’t-miss event in 2026. Here’s how folks were able to save their spot to participate in our first-ever Over the Edge event!

Event Sponsors

Pay It Forward

Some participants earned their rappel by fundraising for a meaningful cause. During registration, they choose how their funds were allocated: supporting the ACCT Pays It Forward recipient, The Comeback Kid Society, or an organization of their choice. Every dollar helped support the industry and community we care about, and donations continue to be accepted.

Purchase a Rappel

The exterior of the Oklahoma City Omni Hotel is seen with a graphic of a rappeler hanging off one side of the roof as they descend to the ground.

Participants were able to snag their rappel spot with a direct purchase option. A limited number of rappels were available on a first-come, first-served basis. This option offered a simple, no-fundraising-required way to participate in the Over the Edge experience and be part of this unforgettable conference highlight.

Other Ways to Be Part of the Action!

You didn’t have to go over the edge to be involved. Whether you preferred supporting from behind the scenes or soaking up the energy on the rooftop, there were meaningful and fun ways to participate in the Over the Edge experience. No harness required!

Become a Volunteer

We looked for rope volunteers to help make this event a success. Volunteering was a great way to support important causes, contribute to event safety and flow, and be part of the excitement while helping others have an unforgettable experience.

Attend the Rapp Party

While the rappels were underway, all conference attendees were invited to enjoy the Rapp Party on the Rooftop Pool & Terrace Deck, sponsored by Challenge Works and Hibbs Hallmark & Company. We watched the action, cheered on our colleagues, and celebrated together as rappelers landed and jumped right into the fun.
