Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Answers to frequently asked questions from sponsors and exhibitors about conference logistics, expectations, and tips for maximizing the conference and expo experience. Click to learn more.
How long has ACCT and the annual international conference and expo been around?
Our community has a rich history dating back to an inaugural gathering in North Carolina in 1988. This initial meeting laid the groundwork for what would evolve into an annual tradition of Symposiums. In 1993, the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) was formed, coinciding with the presentation of the first industry standards by the Installation Standards Committee at that year’s Symposium. Since then, the ACCT Annual International Conference and Expo has grown in scope and significance, becoming a cornerstone event in the challenge course and adventure industries. Learn more about the ACCT mission.
Where is the Exhibit Hall located?
For the 35th Annual International ACCT Conference and Exposition we are thrilled to be in Cleveland, Ohio! The Exhibit Hall is in Hall C of the Huntington Convention Center, which is connected to the Hilton Downtown Cleveland, our host hotel where the conference sessions are held.
Who do I talk to about getting a booth?
If you’re considering sponsoring and/or exhibiting but are unsure which option best suits your team, contact Brittany at +1 (720) 204-8823 or events@acctinfo.org. She works closely with sponsors and exhibitors year-round to ensure you have the experience and support you deserve. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns!
Can I attend conference sessions?
Exhibitor-Only badges provide access exclusively to the Exhibit Hall spaces. If you are interested in attending educational sessions and industry presentations, you will need to secure either a 1-Day Attendee Badge, 2-Day Attendee Badge, or Full Conference Badge. For more information on the different types of attendee badges, check out our Attendee Registration page.
Our Tiered Sponsorship opportunities incorporate most of these badge options, offering the flexibility to deliver professional development opportunities to your team while enhancing your business or organization’s exposure at the conference and expo. For more information on these sponsorship opportunities, visit our 2025 Opportunity Guide.
Is there WiFi at the Exhibit Hall?
Venue policies and contracts regarding WiFi access vary, though it is uncommon for this service to be provided without significant technology service fees from the association. (These fees can amount to up to $10,000 or more!) Due to these limitations, we encourage exhibitors and sponsors to consider bringing alternate WiFi access options, such as hotspots, to ensure seamless connectivity during the conference. It’s important to note that construction methods typical for convention centers don’t always foster high-quality cell service or internet speeds.
For those interested in sponsoring internet access for conference attendees, we invite you to connect with ACCT Staff Brittany Humphrey at events@acctinfo.org to explore this opportunity further.
How do I maximize my participation at the show and reach more attendees?
Maximizing your participation at the conference and expo involves proactive engagement and strategic planning. Here are some tips and tricks to help you reach more attendees and make the most out of your experience:
- Prepare Engaging Booth Displays: Ensure your booth design is visually appealing, welcoming, and showcases your products or services effectively. Incorporate engaging visuals, demonstrations, and hands-on activities to attract attendees to your booth.
- Host Demonstrations or Presentations: Some sponsorship opportunities offer the opportunity to schedule live demonstrations to showcase your products or services while speaking and presenting helps showcase your knowledge and skills. This provides attendees with an opportunity to learn more about what you offer and interact with your team.
- Utilize Digital Channels: Leverage digital channels such as social media, email marketing, and your company website to create buzz about your presence at the conference. Take advantage of digital badges for exhibitors and sponsors. Share updates, photos, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and special promotions to generate excitement and attract attendees to your booth.
- Network Effectively: Attend networking events, educational sessions, and social gatherings to connect with attendees, industry peers, and potential clients. Be proactive in initiating conversations and building relationships! Don’t hesitate to connect and exchange contact information.
- Offer Promotions or Giveaways: Provide special promotions, discounts, or giveaways to incentivize attendees to visit your booth. This can help attract attention and drive traffic to your exhibit. Prepare eye-catching and informative promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, business cards, and branded giveaways that serve as valuable reminders of your brand and offerings.
- Collect Contact Information: Have a system in place for collecting contact information from interested attendees. This allows you to follow up after the event and continue the conversation.
- Engage Attendees Outside the Booth: Take advantage of opportunities to engage with attendees outside of your booth, such as event sponsorship, hosting hospitality suites, or participating in networking activities.
- Follow-Up: After the event, follow up with leads and contacts you’ve made during the event. Send personalized emails, connect on social media, and schedule follow-up meetings or calls to further nurture relationships and convert leads into customers.
By implementing some or all of these strategies and actively engaging with attendees, you can maximize your participation at the conference and expo to reach a larger audience.
